The J.S. Tarka Tomb honours Joseph Sarwuan Tarka, a Tiv political leader and one of the major figures of Nigeria's First and Second Republic eras. The memorial complex sits at the J.S. Tarka Institute for Political and Strategic Studies.
It is a specialist stop, but worthwhile if you are trying to understand Benue politics and Tiv public memory. Pair it with the Tor Tiv Palace rather than treating it as a stand-alone attraction.
