Mkar Hill is the main natural sight around Gboko, a pair of prominent peaks east of town. Locals use it for picnics, climbing, and broad views over the surrounding country.
Go with someone who knows the route, especially if you plan to climb rather than just stop for the view. The hill is the one place in Gboko where the town opens out into landscape.
