Bisesero Genocide Memorial is south of Kibuye, on a hill where Tutsi residents resisted attacks during the 1994 genocide. It is one of the memorial sites included in Rwanda's UNESCO World Heritage listing. The visit is sobering and important; arrange transport from Kibuye and give it more time than the distance suggests.
