Jubilee Creek

Forest picnic spot and easy walk in the Knysna indigenous forest, with stream pools and shade.

Jubilee Creek is a picnic site and short forest walk in the Knysna section of Garden Route National Park. It sits beside a dark, tannin-stained stream, with grassy banks, braai spots, and enough deep shade to make it a good choice when the coast is windy or crowded.

The walk is easy rather than epic, but it gives a fine sample of the old Knysna forest: tree ferns, yellowwoods, bird calls, and the occasional reminder of the area's gold-mining past. Bring a picnic, check SANParks access details, and leave time for a swim if the water level is right.
