Hout Bay has a solid cluster of restaurants and cafes around the harbour and main road, with fresh fish as the obvious local strength. The harbour itself is the best place for a proper fish meal — the boats come in close by and the seafood is usually very fresh. Most places are relaxed and informal, with outdoor seating that makes the most of the mountain setting.
