Supertubes is the reason surfers cross oceans for J-Bay. When the swell and wind line up, the wave runs fast and clean down the point, drawing expert surfers and plenty of spectators.
If you are not an experienced surfer, treat it as a place to watch rather than a place to prove yourself. The gentler lesson breaks are elsewhere in town.
