Meerkat Adventures is a guided dawn wildlife outing near Oudtshoorn, focused on watching wild meerkats emerge and warm up after sunrise. In a town already known for ostrich farms, caves, and dry Karoo scenery, it adds a smaller-scale wildlife experience with a strong sense of place.
The early start is part of the deal, and sightings depend on weather and animal behaviour. Dress warmly for the pre-sunrise wait, follow the guide's instructions closely, and avoid treating it like a zoo encounter.
