Pretoria is served by OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, about 45 km south-east. The Gautrain rapid rail connects OR Tambo directly to Pretoria in about 37 minutes — the most comfortable and reliable option. Trains run every 30 minutes at peak times. The Pretoria Gautrain station is in the city centre on Church Street.
Buses connect Pretoria with all major South African cities. Intercape and Greyhound run frequently to Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, and elsewhere. The main intercity bus terminal is at the Pretoria train station on Scheiding Street. By car, Pretoria is 50 km north of Johannesburg on the N1/N14 — budget 45 minutes to an hour in normal traffic.
