Loftus Versfeld Stadium

Loftus Versfeld is the home stadium of the Blue Bulls (rugby) and one of the most atmospheric rugby venues in South Africa. The ground holds around 52,000 spectators and has been the spiritual home of Pretoria rugby since it opened in 1906 — making it one of the oldest and most continuously used rugby grounds in the world. The Bulls are one of the Super Rugby's most successful franchises, and a home match here on a winter Saturday is an intense experience.

The stadium was also one of the five venues used in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, hosting Group Stage matches. It has since been used for Mamelodi Sundowns football matches as well. Catching a Bulls match here is one of the better sporting experiences in South Africa — the crowd is knowledgeable and loud, and the old grandstand creates a bowl of noise that carries across the city.
