Klipkoppie

Central granite hill with South African War remains and wide views over Springbok.

Klipkoppie is the little granite hill in the middle of Springbok, and it gives the town its easiest view. From the top you can see how the streets curl around the koppie and how tightly the settlement sits inside its dry valley.

The hill was used as a fort during the South African War, and traces of old stonework remain. Go early or late; the climb is short, but the rock and sun can be fierce.
