A long-running auberge in the centre of Kpalimé whose restaurant terrace is reliably the best place in town for a meal. The menu mixes French-Togolese classics — grilled tilapia, brochettes, riz sauce, omelettes — with cold Pils beer from the brewery in Lomé.
Service is unhurried in the West African way. Come early for dinner; the kitchen closes by 9 pm. A useful place to meet other travellers and to swap notes on guides for the forest walks.
