The area around Kpalimé is green, hilly, and excellent for trekking. The villages of Klouto and Kuma Kunda, reachable by car or moto, are the main starting points for walks through forest where butterflies and other insects are abundant. Guides are easy to find in the villages. Mount Agou, Togo's highest peak, is a straightforward half-day climb from nearby.
