Manama Souq is the old market district around Bab Al Bahrain, a maze of small lanes selling souvenirs, fabrics, electronics, gold, jewellery, and tailored clothing. It is one of the easiest places in the city to browse on foot.
The souq is most rewarding when combined with nearby Bab Al Bahrain and the surrounding old commercial streets. Go with time to wander rather than a fixed shopping list.
