Kantajew Temple is the sight that makes Dinajpur worth the detour. Built in the 18th century, it is famous for the terracotta panels that cover its brick walls with stories, decorative patterns, musicians, animals, soldiers, and scenes from everyday life.
The temple is outside the town centre, so plan transport rather than trying to squeeze it in as a quick walk. Up close, the detail is the reward: the building reads less like a single monument than a brick book wrapped around a shrine.
