Boro Kuthi is one of Rajshahi's most tangible riverfront history pieces, a preserved European trading house on the bank of the Padma. Its plain colonial architecture points back to the period when silk, indigo, and river commerce connected the city to Dutch, British, and other merchant networks.
The building is not a grand palace, but it gives the Padma embankment historical weight. It pairs naturally with an evening walk by the river and a visit to the Varendra Research Museum.
