Kota Batu is about 3 kilometres east of central Bandar Seri Begawan along Jalan Kota Batu (the riverside road). The easiest way to get there is by taxi from the capital; the journey takes around ten minutes. There is a bus service but frequencies are low — the taxi is more practical for a day trip from the capital.
