Pol Pot's cremation site is a stark stop in the hills north of Anlong Veng. There is little here in the normal museum sense, and that is part of its force: a simple shelter, a name, and the uncomfortable knowledge of what the man represented.
The site is near the Thai border, so current security advice matters. Do not wander off roads or paths in this region; landmine risk is real.
