Ta Mok's House is the best-preserved Khmer Rouge site in Anlong Veng. It is a plain building, but its lakeside setting, wall paintings, and association with one of the movement's most feared commanders make it unsettling.
The house works best with a guide who can explain what happened here and what remains. Without context, it can feel like an empty shell; with context, it becomes a hard look at how recently this history shaped the district.
