A larger-than-life bronze statue of King Norodom Sihanouk, set inside a domed pavilion in the strip of park between Independence Monument and the river. Built in 2013, a year after the King Father's death, and quickly adopted as a place of national mourning — wreaths and incense are still left at the base most days.
The monument's placement deliberately lines it up with Independence Monument to the west, framing a long ceremonial axis used for parades on national holidays. Pleasant to walk between the two at dusk.
