Cha Ung Waterfall

About 7 km northwest of Ban Lung, Cha Ung is the most dramatic of the area's waterfalls — a 30-metre column of water plunging over a basalt cliff into a pool deep enough to swim in. A path leads behind the curtain of falling water, where you can stand looking out at the jungle through the spray.

Best visited in the wet season (July–November) when the volume of water is at its highest. In the dry season the falls reduce to a trickle. Bring shoes with grip — the rocks behind the falls are slippery.
