Keyuan Garden

Keyuan Garden is a small but carefully composed Lingnan garden in central Dongguan, built in the Qing dynasty and arranged around pavilions, ponds, halls, and covered walks. It does not have the grand scale of Suzhou's famous gardens, but that is part of its appeal: every turn is close, deliberate, and human-sized.

Come here for a quieter view of Dongguan, away from the city's factory reputation. The best details are in the way rooms, bridges, and water borrow space from one another, making a compact site feel larger than it is.
