Wudalianchi is a UNESCO World Geopark and the geological formations are the reason to come. The combination of volcanic cones, lava fields, mineral springs, and the five interconnected lakes makes this one of the most geologically varied landscapes in northeastern China. Activities divide naturally between geology and the health tourism industry built around the mineral waters.
