Bai Gui Lake is Pingdingshan's largest reservoir and the city's easiest outdoor escape. The wetland park around it has open water, lakeside views, and enough space for cycling, camping, and slow walks by the shore.
It is a local recreation area rather than a polished national showpiece, but that is part of the appeal. Come for fresh air, water views, and a quieter look at everyday life outside the city centre.
