Lujiang Academy

Lujiang Academy is an 18th-century Qing-era academy in Liling, east of Zhuzhou. The complex keeps the layout of a traditional school, with gates, halls, and courtyards set around the old teaching spaces.

It is a specialist stop, but it pairs naturally with Liling Ceramic Museum if you are already making the trip from Zhuzhou. Together they give Liling more texture than a quick look at its porcelain trade alone.
