Xuandi Temple is one of Jilin Province's larger Taoist temples. The original temple was built in 1738 and later destroyed during the Cultural Revolution; most of the present halls are reconstructions based on the earlier complex.
The temple works well with Beishan Park and Jilin City's other historic religious sites, especially if you want a quieter stop away from the main museum circuit.
