Yellow Sea Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area is a mountain-and-valley landscape outside central Rizhao, promoted for its springs, gullies, and many named viewpoints. It is best treated as a nature day trip from the city, especially if you want a break from Rizhao's coastal sights.
