Xuedou Mountain is the scenic high ground above Xikou, with wooded slopes, waterfalls, temples, and views over Tingxia Lake. It is a classic Chinese mountain outing: part nature walk, part pilgrimage, part cable-car-and-viewpoint day.
The area is large, so choose a route rather than trying to tick off every named spot. Xuedou Temple and the big Maitreya Buddha are the main cultural anchors, while the paths higher up give the trip its fresh air.
