Bagheswari Hill rises from the middle of Bongaigaon and gives the easiest view over the town. It is a short climb rather than a wild walk, with Bageshwari Temple near the top.
Go early or late for cooler air and better light. The hill is the simplest way to get a feel for the town before heading out to the wetlands or forest.
