Khirki Masjid is a 14th-century mosque built during the Delhi Sultanate by Khan-i-Jahan Junan Shah, prime minister of Feroz Shah Tughlaq. Its heavy stone walls, partly covered roof, and grid of small openings give it a fortress-like character that feels quite different from Delhi's later Mughal mosques.
The mosque sits in South Delhi near Saket and is easy to miss amid the modern city around it. It rewards visitors interested in Delhi's older, less polished Islamic architecture.
