Nicholson Cemetery is a historic Christian cemetery near Kashmiri Gate, still active and closely tied to the 1857 uprising. Its best-known grave is that of Brigadier General John Nicholson, who was wounded during the assault on Delhi and died soon after.
The cemetery is quiet and atmospheric, entered through a cottage-style arched gateway. It is a worthwhile stop for visitors tracing Delhi's colonial history around Kashmiri Gate and Old Delhi.
