Turkman Gate

Turkman Gate is one of the old gates of Shahjahanabad, named for the Sufi saint Hazrat Shah Turkman Bayabani. The saint's tomb nearby predates the gate by several centuries and gives the area its deeper religious history.

The gate is not as monumental as Delhi's larger Mughal landmarks, but it is a worthwhile stop for travellers tracing the edges of Old Delhi on foot.
