When to Go

The best time to visit Siolim and North Goa is November through February, when the monsoon has cleared, the air is dry, and temperatures are pleasant (25–30°C). The beaches are at their best and the village comes alive with visitors and seasonal restaurants.

March and April are hotter and more crowded as Easter approaches. The monsoon runs from June through September — Siolim gets heavy rain, the sea is rough and off-limits for swimming, and many businesses close. The quiet and the lush greenery have their own appeal for those who don't mind the rain.

The feast of St. Anthony (June 13) falls during the monsoon but is celebrated regardless of the weather with a procession through the village.
