Kamakshi Temple

Kamakshi Temple sits east of Ambaji on the Khedbrahma road and feels different from the older sacred sites around town. It is a modern complex with a South Indian visual vocabulary, dedicated to Kamakshi Devi and surrounded by shrines representing the wider Shaktipeeth tradition.

Come here if you are tracing Ambaji's goddess circuit rather than only ticking off monuments. The temple is not as atmospheric as the main shrine or as beautiful as Kumbharia, but it helps explain how Ambaji presents itself to contemporary pilgrims: not as one isolated temple, but as part of a larger map of goddess worship.
