Dwarkadhish Temple

Dwarkadhish Temple is the reason most people come to Dwarka. The five-storey shrine, supported by carved pillars and crowned by a soaring shikhara, is dedicated to Krishna as king of Dwarka.

The temple is busiest around aarti, when pilgrims press through the lanes and the whole precinct tightens with sound and movement. Dress modestly, leave cameras where required, and give yourself more time than the queue looks like it needs.
