A modest Sikh gurudwara on the riverbank commemorating Guru Hargobind Singh, the sixth Sikh guru, who is said to have visited Baramulla around 1620 on his way to Kashmir. The current building is a relatively modern reconstruction in white-painted concrete with the traditional gilded dome, but the site has been a place of Sikh pilgrimage for four centuries.
Visitors are welcomed without fuss — cover your head, leave your shoes at the entrance. There is usually langar (free community meal) available at midday. Together with St Joseph's, the khanqah and several Hindu temples, the gurudwara is part of the unusually wide religious mix in this small town.
