Bhatinda Falls is the easiest natural escape from Dhanbad. Water drops over dark rock shelves in a green valley about 14 km from the railway station, making it a favourite picnic place after the monsoon.
It is not a remote wilderness waterfall, and weekends can be busy. Go for the contrast: after Dhanbad's traffic and coalfield dust, the rock, water, and tree cover feel like a small reset.
