Burudi Dam forms the small lake north of Ghatshila, ringed by low wooded hills. It is a local picnic and boating spot rather than a grand destination, but it gives the town one of its easiest half-day escapes.
The lake works best as part of a loop with Phuldungri and Dharagiri Falls. In October, the Binda Mela brings Santali crafts and rural fairground life to the area.
