The modest hill that rises above the city's southern districts offers the best elevated view over Hubli and, on a clear day, the distant outline of Dharwad. The climb is short and the path is well-used by morning walkers from the surrounding neighbourhoods.
There is a small temple at the summit and a few benches. The view is not dramatic but is useful for getting a sense of the city's layout — the railway yard to the south, the spread of the old town, and the flat Deccan landscape extending in every direction. Worth the climb if you have an early morning free before your train.
