Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple

Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple sits in Nandi village at the foot of the hill, and it is the most substantial monument in the area. The complex is usually dated to the 9th or 10th century, with later additions, and combines twin Shiva shrines, carved pillars, courtyards, and a handsome marriage pavilion.

Many visitors rush past it on the way to the summit, which is a mistake. The temple gives Nandi Hills historical depth and is worth a slow stop after the sunrise crowds have thinned.
