Adi Shankara Keerthi Sthambam is the most visible monument in Kalady, an eight-storey memorial built by the Kanchi Kamakoti tradition. Inside, a spiral route passes paintings, statues, and episodes from Shankara's life.
It is useful even for visitors who do not know the theology well. The memorial turns a difficult intellectual legacy into a walkable story, and the height gives a rare view over the flat green country around Kalady.
