Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Police Museum

A small but unusual museum dedicated to Kerala's police history, housed in a colonial-era building near the town centre. The collection covers the evolution of policing in the region from the Travancore Kingdom through British rule to the present day, with artefacts including old uniforms, weapons, court records, and photographs.

It is an offbeat choice compared to the lake and beach, but the building itself is handsome and the exhibits give an unexpectedly vivid picture of colonial law enforcement in the region. Entry is free and opening hours are office hours, Monday to Friday.
