The Dhule District Museum covers the archaeology, history, and cultural heritage of the Khandesh region, of which Dhule is the principal city. The collection includes artifacts recovered from local excavations — stone tools, pottery, and coins spanning prehistoric through Maratha-era periods — alongside exhibits on traditional crafts, textiles, and the natural history of the district.
The museum is housed in a government building and maintains modest but informative displays. It is one of the few places to get historical context for the Khandesh plateau, a region often bypassed by travellers moving between Mumbai and central India. Opening hours follow government timings — typically 10am to 5pm, closed Mondays and public holidays.
