Getting There

Shirdi has its own airport — Shirdi Airport (SAG), also known as Shri Saibaba Airport — with direct flights from Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and several other Indian cities. The airport is about 10 km from the temple complex; taxis and prepaid auto-rickshaws connect them.

By rail, the nearest junction is Kopargaon, about 16 km away on the Central Railway line from Mumbai (Dadar and CST). Trains from Mumbai to Manmad pass through Kopargaon; from the station, shared jeeps and autos cover the remaining distance to Shirdi in about 20 minutes. The journey from Mumbai by train takes roughly five to six hours.

By road, Shirdi is about 240 km from Mumbai and 290 km from Pune. The Mumbai-Pune-Nashik highway (NH-60 and NH-61) connects well to Shirdi. State transport buses and private luxury coaches run from Mumbai, Pune, and Nashik throughout the day.
