Getting Around

Odisha's major cities are connected by a decent rail network and NH-5, which runs along the coast. Buses, both state-run and private, cover most routes between cities. Within cities, auto-rickshaws are ubiquitous and cycle-rickshaws still common in smaller towns. For remote areas in the western hills and tribal regions, roads can be rough, and having your own vehicle or hiring a car with driver is the most practical option.
