A small ASI museum directly across the road from the Sun Temple complex, holding a careful selection of stone sculptures recovered from the site over the past century. Several fine sculptures that originally adorned the now-vanished main tower are displayed here, including a famous Navagraha (nine-planet) lintel that was removed from the temple ceiling for conservation.
The labelling is in English and the rooms are calm — a welcome contrast to the often-crowded temple grounds outside. Plan thirty to forty-five minutes. Tickets and timings are separate from the temple itself, but the museum is open all the same days.
