Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary is an easy wildlife stop south of Agartala, with forest, lakes, and a mix of free-ranging and managed animal areas. It is especially known for primates and birdlife.
This is not deep wilderness, but it is useful if you want a green break without a long journey. Visit early for birds and cooler temperatures, and keep expectations realistic: it is more family-friendly sanctuary than remote jungle.
