Bharat Mata Mandir is a modern Haridwar temple with an unusual subject: Mother India rather than a single deity. Its floors are arranged around national figures, saints, regional traditions, and symbolic maps, making it part shrine and part patriotic museum.
It is not as atmospheric as the ghats at Har Ki Pauri, but it adds another layer to Haridwar's religious landscape. The higher floors also give a useful sense of the city spreading along the Ganges plain.
