Rishikesh claims to be India's adventure sports capital, and bungee jumping is the activity that most dramatises this reputation. The main bungee platform at Mohan Chatti, about 17 km north of Rishikesh near Laxman Jhula, is a 83-metre cantilever jump over a gorge — one of the highest bungee platforms in Asia. The operator Jumpin Heights runs a well-established operation here and is the most reputable choice.
The same site offers a zip-line (flying fox) and a giant swing. The bungee is not cheap by Indian standards (₹3500 or more), but the equipment and safety record are good. Bookings fill quickly in peak season; it is worth reserving in advance. The drive to Mohan Chatti passes some excellent views of the Ganges gorge and the forested hills above Rishikesh.
