Chilarair Kot is the ruin of a Koch dynasty fort associated with Sukladwaja, better known as Chilarai. Little survives of the timber and bamboo structures that once stood inside, but the earthworks still mark the defensive enclosure.
It is a modest site, best for travellers already exploring Cooch Behar's royal history rather than a standalone trip. The draw is the link to the region's early power, not dramatic masonry.
