Ambikanagar Temple is a small but worthwhile cultural detour from the reservoir circuit. The shrine is dedicated to Maa Ambika, and local accounts give it a much older history than its modest village setting suggests.
It is not a showy monument. Go because it puts Mukutmanipur back into Bankura's living religious landscape, not because it will fill half a day.
